Happy Valentine's Day!  Whether you celebrate or not; subscribe to the view that you don't need a set day to declare your love for someone; that it's too commercial, a marketing exercise, or just another reason to spend...

1. A little love goes a long way.  And it's often the little gestures that mean the most.  Have you ever tried smiling at a stranger?  Go on, try today.  Not only will you make their day but you'll feel better too!
2. All things grow with love.  Whether it's a carefully tended plant, a newborn babe or a timid, straggly stray.  Simply knowing that you're there, that you care, that they're not alone is enough to thrive.
3. Love is...  Love is what you need it to be - we are all individuals with different needs and desires.  Respecting that in others is the first step to reaping the reward of love.
   

So we say: don't forget the 'one' you love today (you'll be in trouble if you don't) but remember to spread a little love and happiness too.
